Nokia 9 PureView: First Smartphone with 5 Rear Camera Lens
In the last several months we have seen a lot of phones with several cameras lens at the rear like dual, triple, and even quad camera lens. Today, Nokia has taken a new step with the launch of the world’s first phone with five rear cameras only at the rear of the Nokia 9 Pureview.
But oddly enough, instead of offering a range of options for shooting, the only purpose of the phone is to provide first-rate image quality. So there is no optical zoom or wide angle lens or ultra wide angle. And maybe that’s a good thing.
Nokia 9 Pureview Australia has combined with Light, the company that manufactured the famous 16-lens camera that you saw for the first time in 2015, which will provide a special chipset called LUX capacitor allowing five devices to operate in tandem. The Nokia, a dead brand had to opt for this chip because of the main processor of PureView. While, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 can only support two cameras running simultaneously. Nokia might gain some boost in its selling and worth by using and featuring five lenses for PureView images.

To capture high-quality images, the Nokia 9 uses a technique called stacking images, which combines the details of multiple images to produce an image. Each lens of the Nokia 9 captures from one to four frames and the entire configuration saves between 60 and 240 MB of data per photo. After that, the post-processing software selects the best details of each image and combines them into a 12-megapixel photo.
Here’s the camera’s lens that is featured at the rear of Nokia 9 PureView containing Two 12-megapixel RGB color sensors, three 12-megapixel monochrome sensors, and a flight time sensor. Basically, three 12 MP monochrome sensors measure the distance of an object to the lens, and the help of double-tone LED flash it captures some extraordinary images. All camera sensors are manufactured by Zeiss and have an aperture of f/1.85.
